Breaking news people,
Today, September 8th of 2022, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has passed on. She died in her Scottish home, Balmoral Castle. Buckingham Palace has said that she had been suffering with “episodic mobility problems,” resulting in her inability to participate in public events. She passed on peacefully.
Queen Elizabeth, during her lifetime, was the longest-serving monarch in the world. This year marked her 70th year on the throne, her “platinum jubilee,” after her coronation in 1952. Since then, she led the United Kingdom through the fall of the colonial era, and adapted the throne to the modern age. She was renowned across the world as an able leader; "She has managed to modernize and evolve the monarchy like no other," as her grandson put it.
The new prime minister, Liz Truss, will make a statement about the Queen’s passing.
King Charles is the new king of the United Kingdom, with his wife Camilla as the Queen.
Elizabeth may have passed from this world, but her legacy will remain forever.

Enjoyed reading your blog today. Do you think the Queen had a discussion before she passed about whether or not Charles should be bypassed for king? I was hoping she would have named Prince William as her successor.
